The de Young Museum is a cultural institution located in the center of Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. It is also one of the most beautiful wedding venues in the Bay Area. Established in 1895, de Young is a state of the art facility featuring some of the finest art and architecture.
The Museum is surrounded by the gorgeous landscape of Golden Gate Park, making a perfect background for your photos. Plus, it has several different areas for both receptions and ceremonies. The Barbro Osher Sculpture Garden is perfect for your ceremony, featuring the park’s natural beauty and amazing art displays. For reception areas, there are several beautiful options to choose from. Wilsey Court is ideal for larger receptions, fitting around 400 seated guests and including room for a dance floor. The de Young Cafe and Terrace is an indoor/outdoor reception area right across from the Barbro Osher Sculpture Garden, making it ideal for a ceremony in the Garden and a reception in the cafe.

If you are having a more intimate wedding, the museum’s Piazzoni Murals Room will be perfect for you. This space seats about 130 people. One of the areas of note in the de Young Museum is the Hamon Observation Tower. This space has a 360 degree glass wall, providing a stunning view of the San Francisco skyline.
